Library Services - Homeservice

What is Homeservice?

  • Homeservice is a volunteer run program to provide service to those who are physically unable to visit the library.
  • Those interested in receiving library materials in their homes are matched with a library volunteer.
  • The volunteer and the library member then make their own arrangements regarding the frequency, days, and times of their meetings, and the type of materials to be selected.
  • Homebound individuals who are not currently members but who are interested in the service can be registered as a member during their first meeting with a library volunteer.
  • The service runs year round.

If you are interested in receiving library materials in your home, or if you are interested in volunteering for this program please contact Darla Grewal, or call the library at (250) 428-4141 during our regular hours of operation.
