The Creston library will be hosting a book launch on December 9th at 2pm for Paul Saso’s new book Kootenay Inspired. The launch will include readings, a slideshow of the many stunning images contained in the book, and more.
Inspired by the people of the Kootenay’s Paul dedicated himself to collecting and sharing the life stories of some of the region’s most extraordinary people so that others could learn from them. He is now thrilled to be able to pass on what he has learned in his new book.
The book delves into the lives of twelve remarkable individuals, including local author Luanne Armstrong, who call the Kootenay region of British Colombia home. Featuring entrepreneurs, artists, outdoors people, activists, farmers, community builders, teachers, nurses and more, Kootenay Inspired shares their secrets for overcoming enormous challenges, following passions against all odds, and finding meaning in our lives.
With stunning photography, taken primarily by brilliant local photographer Louis Bockner, and intimate life stories you’ll never forget, Kootenay Inspired offers deep insight into the region’s most precious resource: its extraordinary people. Step into their shoes, and share in their wisdom for living a purposeful, authentic and inspired life.
Each chapter presents the life story of one individual, focusing on their foundational experiences and delving into the question, ‘How has this person created an inspiring life?’ They are people who have followed their hearts and their passions to create beautiful lives, often improving the lives of others along the way.
The goal of Kootenay Inspired has always been to inspire people to live great lives, to that end 50% of profits will be donated to local charities that empower and enable people to live well. Visit www.kootenayinspired.ca to learn more.
