On Friday, February 28th at 1 pm Rachel Beck from Tilia will be teaching us how to make Green Cleaning Supplies.
Not only is making your own cleaning supplies good for the environment it’s good for the wallet too! In this class you will learn about the wide range of non-toxic, inexpensive, natural ingredients that you can use to create wonderful household cleaners that really work. From air freshener to soft scrubs, furniture polishes to floor cleaner learn how you can make your house green. Participants will take home some basic cleaners to get them started on a healthier home. Please bring two small jars for your cleansers. There is no charge for this class (but donations can be made to help purchase more books for the library on how you and your family can live an environmentally healthy life if you wish).

Living the Change Learning Series explores solutions to the global crises we face today – solutions any one of us can be part of.
“You’ve probably had those moments of despair where you think it’s just hopeless and the world is always going to be this way and anything we do is not enough, but there’s also – and I would say that this is maybe more of a heart knowing – that understands that a more beautiful world is possible.” – Charles Eisenstein in Living the Change
Sometimes it can feel like the environmental, economic and social issues the world is currently facing are too big, too overwhelming, to be dealt with by individuals. Climate change, resource limits, economic downturn, social disconnection. Surely these issues can only be properly managed by our governments?
Each and every one of us has the power to create change. Living the Change sets out to inspire us to do just that. There are so many exciting and important ideas and initiatives out there, so much hope and inspiration. We want to generate discussion as widely and deeply as possible about how each of us views the future and our part in it.
We began our ‘Living the Change Learning Series’ by watching the documentary for inspiration for our journey. What do you want to learn to help you ‘live the change’? With monthly speakers, workshops, panel discussions, and other learning opportunities we will explore how we can make a difference in our life, home, and community.
Everyone is welcome, admittance is free, and there is no need to register.
