Life is busy! We all need a little help when it comes to getting chores done. Screens can be handy when it comes to entertaining our children. The Canadian Pediatric Society’s guidelines state that screen time of any kind is not recommended for children under the age of two. For children between two and five, routine screentime should be limited to less than one hour per day. So what to do when laundry calls or you need a shower?

Join us for Project Playtime, where we will create busy bags, interactive activities for your child to learn and play with as an alternative to screentime. Each child will go home with at least one Busy bag, created by him/her (with your help).

Project Playtime is an initiative of Success By 6 and East Kootenay Children First in partnership with Creston Valley Early Years and Creston Valley Public Library.

The making of Busy Bags will take place after regular Thursday morning Family Storytime.
