It’s that time of year again! The Creston Valley Public Library is gearing up to begin the Summer Reading Club. The theme this year is “Explore Our Universe!” This year the Summer Reading Club will look a bit different. We will be providing alternative activities in place of in-person programming. Each week FREE Mission Kits be available for pick up at the library. The kits will contain materials to complete activities around the current week’s theme.
ACTIVITY KITS: Mission Kits will be available each week during library hours for pick up from July 7th-August 21st. To sign up for the Mission Kits, please fill out the registration form beginning June 30th. You can register for all of the 7 weeks of activities, or just participate for week or two if you’d like! Kits will be available at the circulation desk during library hours.
Please Note: You MUST register by the Tuesday before the kit pick up date to guarantee a kit, for instance to pick up the July 14th kit you must register by July 7th, with the exception of the July 7th-10th pick up. Extra kits will be available on a first-come-first-serve basis.
READING LOGS: Reading logs will be placed in Week One’s Mission Kits. To complete the reading log, colour in a dot for every 15 minutes of reading. Once the log is full, bring it to the library for a reading medal (while supplies last) and a chance to win a prize basket. You must fill out a paper log to enter the draw, but you can also track your reading online at https://bcsrc.ca/ and collect badges there!
Be sure to check our website and Facebook page throughout the summer for additional fun events and activities!
Registration opens Tuesday June 30th! Stay tuned for the official registration announcement.
