Teen Comics Workshop

Thursday September 22 @ 18:00 - 19:00

“Beginning with an Ending: Understanding Your Own Comic”

Oftentimes, we cartoonists get so excited by our cool characters, ideas, conflicts, and moments that we forget to think of where a story is headed. However, having an ending in mind when starting your story will help guide you and what creative decisions you’ll make. What does that story look like when it’s told in 1 page? How about 300 pages? How about 30,000?

This workshop will be a series of comic book storytelling exercises in order to better help you understand what’s important about your own story or ideas! Don’t worry – if you don’t have your own story idea you can still participate in these exercises. Bring your favourite drawing utensils and sketchbook!
