Loosen up and learn to paint without fear! During this fun class we will be exploring various methods of creating marks, shapes, patterns, and textures, to create abstract paintings that are all your own! Learn fundamental formal concepts such as composition, design elements, brushwork, and colour mixing and combinations, all while accessing your intuition and imagination.
Complete 4 paintings and some studies.
About the Instructor:
Jaye Benoit is a visual artist, art educator and mentor, and arts administration professional with over 12 years of experience. She holds a BFA from the University of Alberta and is pursuing her MFA from Emily Carr University of Art + Design (2024). Jaye firmly believes in the value and ability of art to foster societal change and personal growth, and to connect us all to each other.
