SkillShare Saturday – Creative Mending

SkillShare events are an opportunity to learn, teach, and enjoy each other’s company.  Based on the notion that everybody has special skills and abilities and we can help each other learn, the SkillShare series invites ‘community experts’ to bring their skills to the table and makes space for learners to get hands-on experience and support.

In this Creative Mending session, we’ll focus on mending holes, covering stains, and adding decorative patches or embroidery to bring beloved old garments back to life.

Bring your garments or linens that need some care. Some supplies will be provided, but participants are encouraged to bring their own sewing kit and any materials they’d like to show and share, or anything specific they’ll need for their project.

This is free adult programming.  All skill levels are welcomed, and children or youth accompanied by a supporting adult are welcome too!
