In the first lecture in this series, join Creston Museum manager Tammy Bradford on a deep dive into provincial liquor laws, societal change, and economic ups and downs – all of which are reflected in the fortunes of the Kokanee Inn, which celebrated its 125th anniversary in December, 2023.

This speaker series is co-sponsored by the Creston Museum and the Creston Valley Public Library to commemorate the Town of Creston’s Centennial. Upcoming lectures will include discussion of the region’s geology, prehistory, the history of Kootenay Lake, stories of the Nasookin and other sternwheelers, and the story of how Creston became a town.
